Calvin Harris and Sam Smith’s euro-dance track, Desire, is getting a fresh round of remixes, and up next is the renowned Italian group, MEDUZA.
This marks Harris’s second foray into the euro-dance scene, suggesting he’s setting the stage for another impressive remix collection, akin to what he orchestrated for “Miracle” with Ellie Goulding. And who better to join the ranks than the iconic trio MEDUZA? They are now part of an illustrious lineup that includes the likes of Hannah Laing, Alok, and Cedric Gervais. MEDUZA has infused their signature magic into the track.
Staying true to their established sound, MEDUZA has crafted an enchanting remix of Desire. This sonic style, evident in past hits like their “Tell Me Why” remix and “Friends,” remains as compelling as ever. While other artists might seem repetitive or lackluster sticking to a signature sound, MEDUZA consistently delivers a vibrant and refreshing vibe. Their latest effort is their first since the acclaimed “Tell Me Why” remix, which is currently approaching a whopping 80 million Spotify streams.
Having wrapped up an 18-week Ibiza residency, MEDUZA was joined by fellow maestro, James Hype. Their collaborative project, “Our House,” championed house music, lively crowds, and pure energy. After David Guetta unfortunately took ill, MEDUZA and company seamlessly stepped up, taking over his F*** Me I’m Famous residency at Ushuaia with immense flair. As they gear up for the closing party, one can be certain their Desire remix will electrify the dance floor.
If you can’t make it to Ibiza to experience it in person, streaming platforms have got you covered. Listen to the remix below.
