Ghost rider, aka Vlad Krivoshein is an Israeli DJ and producer of trance music. He defines his sound as a mixture between elements from Progressive/ Psy-Trance mixed by large particles accelerator! These sounds merge into something new; it’s not easily described but can be heard on tracks like “Two Of Us” released October 16 2020 which has gained support from streaming platforms & DJs in this genre due its complexity while still retaining some familiar qualities too them (including Mumbai). For example original version had more acidity compared to Eletro Vibez edit. But what’s important is how this sound helps to create an emotional rollercoaster.
“I was already closely following the work of Ghost Rider, which has a more commercial approach to progressive trance, using longer and more commercial vocals. From the beginning, I was tied to the vocals and vibe of “Two Of Us”. To make the remix, I used a lot of my current identity in the lead and bass tones. My idea was to change the main feel of the music that was prog trance to deep house with influences of melodic prog house but keeping the elements of the original music and some outstanding characteristics of the trance genre, such as the atmosphere of the music that is very peculiar. I also didn’t want to lose the original sound’s identity but rather merge my ID with his ID. In short, I gave some special touches to the original version with ‘cruelty refinements’, as always (laughs).”
Still ecstatic at the release of the remix for an artist of as heavy a caliber as Ghost Rider, RQntz commented:
“The opportunity came through direct contact with Vlad, from Israel’s Ghost Rider project, right after I had remixed the same day the original track was released (yes, I remixed it in less than 24 hours). My manager Cristiano, from Reven Beats, who has a long background and wide network in the psy-trance scene, sent the remix directly to Vlad, who quickly responded liking my version. That same day, he sent the stems so I could finish the song and 100% embraced the idea of officially releasing the remix. It was all very fast and exciting!”
