Michael Bibi, the acclaimed tech house DJ and producer, has recently made a triumphant exit from the hospital after a prolonged treatment spanning over 100 days. At 33, Bibi grappled with CNS lymphoma, an uncommon cancer affecting the brain and spine.
Taking to Instagram, Bibi shared reflections on his journey, saying, “From the day I was admitted, walking seemed like a Herculean task. Yet, as I leave today, I’m wearing a smile, marking the end of this intensive phase of treatment. Though worn out, I’m deeply contented. My fight with cancer persists, but for the time being, I’m pausing to relish in life’s little joys.”
Back in June, the revelation of Bibi’s diagnosis meant a pause on all his forthcoming performances, including his much-anticipated residency at Ibiza’s renowned DC-10. But Bibi has been tenacious and optimistic. He disclosed earlier that the preliminary treatment bore promising results, indicating a 40% reduction in the tumor size.
His departure from the hospital has been met with an outpouring of support from fellow luminaries in the industry, such as Black Coffee, Fatboy Slim, Amelie Lens, and Martin Garrix, to name a few.
