Tomorrowland recently revealed its innovative CORE stage in Mexico, marking its debut during the second CORE Tulum event on January 13th.
The stage, a product of over a year’s effort by Tomorrowland’s own creative team, was initially conceptualized as a complex 3D design. Originally featured at Tomorrowland’s online festival, the team ambitiously transformed this virtual idea into a tangible reality.
Nestled amidst Tulum’s lush jungle, the stage boasts a natural, rocky design, enhanced with a blend of elements from nature and water. It measures an impressive 17 meters in height and 30 meters in width, equipped with 209 dynamic lights, and augmented with water geysers, LED effects, fog machines, and more.
CORE’s first event showcased talents like Boys Noize, Diplo, Disclosure, HAAi, and Mind Against, complemented by a bespoke audiovisual setup. CORE’s focus remains on alternative house and techno, branching into various subgenres and featuring both globally recognized and emerging artists.
Post its unveiling in Tulum, where it stays until January 20th, the CORE stage is set to appear globally at different Tomorrowland events. This includes its summer main festival.
Plans are underway to transport this unique stage worldwide, targeting exotic, nature-centric locales. The stage, designed for touring, features inflatable decorations and modular components, all fitting into a single container.
For now, the CORE stage is confirmed for Tomorrowland’s main 2024 event in Belgium, with the spokesperson hinting at more exciting announcements to follow.
