Verknipt, the distinguished Dutch promoter of hard techno, is about to make history with their latest venture: Verknipt ArenA. Touted as the grandest complex techno gathering ever, this monumental event will usher 40,000 enthusiasts to the iconic Johan Cruijff ArenA in Amsterdam on July 20, 2024, promising a memorable night filled with rhythm and revelry.
While many recognize this venue as a premier football stadium, the Johan Cruijff ArenA has been a venue for some of the most significant events in the Netherlands. It has previously been the stage for the Amsterdam Music Festival and will be the chosen venue for Taylor Swift’s three-night performance during her upcoming Eras tour.
This time around, the vast expanse of the arena will reverberate with ten relentless hours of hard techno beats. Details about the performers remain under wraps, but if history is any guide, previous Verknipt events have featured the crème de la crème of the genre.
The most recent Verknipt Festival showcased the electrifying talents of artists like Sara Landry, Fatima Hajji, and Trym, leaving attendees in awe.
Mer Hajbarati, Verknipt’s founder and co-owner, expressed his enthusiasm in a statement, saying, “The growth and evolution of the techno scene over the past few years has been incredible, and we’re proud of Verknipt’s pioneering role in it. Amidst such fierce industry competition, realizing our efforts resonate deeply with a vast audience is heartening. Even suggesting a hard techno event in a stadium might have seemed ludicrous a few years ago. Yet, here we are, making it happen.”
